Al-Andalus founded in Jeddah

  •         Student population: 80 students
  •         Annual fees: 4500 SR/student
  •         School Location: Rented building in the Salama District
  •         Facility included: 10 classrooms, a science lab, and administrative offices

Girls Section established in Jeddah

  •         Jeddah School Site Moved to Rowda District on Kayal Street
  •         Facilities: 3 buildings, 32 classrooms, laboratories,

playgrounds and a football field.

Al-Andalus  Schools establish Al-Andalus in Rabegh

  •         Student Population: 64 students (Saudi Aramco employeessons)
  •         Director: Mr. Mansour Bin Yousef

  •         Built two libraries: elementary and middle/high school
  •         Built two swimming pools: elementary and middle/high school

  •         School accepted the Educational Excellence Award from the Ministry of Education

1996

  •         Jeddah Elementary School Site Moved to Al-Zahra District
  •         Sized 19,000m
  •         Facilities: 3 buildings, 60 classrooms, labs, administrative offices, etc.
  •         School accepted the Educational Excellence Award from the Ministry of Education

1997

  •         School accepted the Educational Excellence Award from the Ministry of Education

1998

  •         School accepted the Educational Excellence Award from the Ministry of Education

1999

  •         Preparations made for establishing electronic classrooms
  •         School accepted the Educational Excellence Award from the Ministry of Education

2000

  •         Middle School Director: Mr. Mansour Bin Yousef
  •         Middle Schools first grade books converted to an electronic format
  •         Selected students added to the e-classrooms
  •         Each classroom furnished with a computer, data show, internet connection, and projector.
  •         E-learning applied to one class
  •         School accepted the Educational Excellence Award from the Ministry of Education

2001

  •         E-classrooms increased to 4
  •         All lessons taught with PowerPoint
  •         E-learning for all first grade middle school classrooms, plus one class from the second grade
  •         School accepted the Educational Excellence Award from the Ministry of Education

2002

Al-Andalus Schools establish Al-Andalus in Taif

  •         July 29th visit from the Royal Highness Prince AbdulMajeed Bin AbdulAziz
  •         School website developed with databases
  •         E-learning applied to first and second grades, and one third-grade middle school classroom.
  •         Certificate of Appreciation from the Charity House of Jeddah awarded to the Elementary School for their effective efforts to contribute to a program for providing services to the poor
  •         Certificate of Appreciation awarded to the Middle School from the Department of Student Social Activities and General Administration of Education for their efforts to implement social activities 
  •         Certificate of Appreciation from the Muslim World League (International Organization for Quran Memorization) to Mr. Mazen Bin Nasir, Principal
  •         Certificate of Appreciation from the General Director of Education in Makkah (Mr. Abdullah Bin Mohamed) for participating in the Kingdoms Second Scientific Forum

2003

  •         Taif School took First Place in the Childrens Theatre for Excellence in Education
  •         Taif School took First Place in the Clean School Competition
  •         Taif School was awarded by the Ministry of Education for Excellence in Education.
  •         E-classes opened in the middle schools third grade
  •         Improvements to the school website: classes video taped and downloaded
  •         Diamond Degree awarded to Al-Andalus for the Festival Anthem Competition
  •         Department of Student Social Activities and General Administration of Education awards our educational camp
  •         School achieved third place in the First Championship of the Sun Swimming Competition
  •         Thanks and Appreciation from the Islamic Awareness Department for Elementary Schools from the General Administration of Education in Makkah
  •         Four Diamonds for the Competition of Reviving the SUNNAH from the Commission of Civil Schools in Jeddah

2004

  •         Thanks and appreciation from the International Symposium of Islamic youth in Makkah to the Elementary School for their success in the Pioneers Program
  •         Won the third place in the Young Poets Competition between civil schools in Jeddah

2005

  •         Thank and Appreciation from the Commission of Civil Schools in Jeddah for preparing and organizing the Competition for Reviving the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
  •         Great Thanks from the Centre of Educational Supervision in the North of Jeddah to the Elementary School for the Fifth Grade Student Forum
  •         Second place in the Middle School in the Competition of Schools
  •         Thanks and appreciation for the High School for first place in the competition of Islamic awareness

2006

  •         Great Thanks and Appreciation for Student Activities from the General Administration of Education in Makkah for the Al-Andalus Summer Club for elementary students

2007

Established in Fall of 2007, American Diploma carries the Al Andalus tradition of raising Saudi students forward through the delivery of both the American and National curriculum for boys in Grades 1 through 12.

AdvancED accredited in 2009 and Re-Accredited in 2015, to date American Diploma has successfully graduated 158 high school students for university studies around the world since the Spring of 2010 raising a generation, to fulfill society’s expectations.

Our qualified team of international and local staff are committed to the great responsibility of education through continuous improvement and best practices.  Located on Kayyal Street in the Rawdah District of Jeddah, the unified American Diploma campus is comprised of an elementary school building for grades 1-6 (currently 282 students) and an adjacent secondary school building for grades 7-12 (currently 264 students) since the summer of 2013. The elementary campus was previously in different district from 2007 until Spring 2013.

2008

  •         Shield of Outstanding Performance for Dr.Fahad Bin Yameen, Elementary School Principal from the Director of General Administration of Education in Jeddah, Dr.Abdullah bin Ahmed.
  •         Shield of Excellence for the Elementary School in the Excellent Student Competition
  •         Thank and Appreciation for the Middle Stage from General Administration of Education, the Administration of Educational Supervision, the Department of Art, for their efforts to organize the Annual Gallery of Art
  •         Thanks and Appreciation for the Middles School from the Administration of Educational Supervision in North Jeddah (Physical Education Division) for the Basketball Project
